October 9, 2025 – A Recipe Inspired by a Novel

Have you ever wanted to get a taste of one of the dishes enjoyed by the characters in your favorite books?  Here’s your chance. There is no shortage of books containing memorable and mouthwatering descriptions of food. Examples that jump to mind:  Strawberry Tarts from Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland, Ham Salad from Jane Austen’s Pride & Prejudice or Mama’s Fried Chicken from F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby. With this in mind, in October our cooking club will choose a recipe inspired by a book. Bring your love of books together with your love for cooking and make a recipe to share.
